"Sprint" Cell Phone Company I WAS NEVER TOLD BY SPRINT, NEVER SIGNED A NEW CONTRACT AND NEVER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION VIA MAIL FROM SPRINT. When I called in to CANCEL one of my lines that I had had for more than 2 years they talked me into not Canceling. AT NO TIME DID THEIR REPRESENTATIVE WHO TALKED ME INTO NOT CANCELING THIS PARTICULAR NUMBER, THAT BY AGREEING TO NOT CANCEL AT THAT TIME, WOULD START ANOTHER 2 YEAR CONTRACT. London Kentucky

I understand contracts and responsiblity for early termination fee's for cell phone contracts. I have paid them several times to Sprint. My family went from 7 phone lines to 2 lines. I paid 2 early termination fee's when we switched the first 5 lines. As much as it hurt I knew that I was responsible for the fees. Our service with Sprint was so bad however we needed to get with another company. We had decided to keep one of the remaining lines because my son had not had his phone for very long and would be attending school in CT where he hoped service would be better. The remaining phone number we did not have transferred to the new service and had decided to simply end service to this number completely. Additionally, this phone was well over the two year contract status. I called Sprint to confirm that I had switched service to a new service for 5 of our lines and that I wanted to just keep my son's number and end service to the last remaining line. The woman from Sprint kept telling me that I should not terminate service. She kept telling me that because I was now down to only two lines that in not ending service it would just be an extra phone that would cost me absolutely NOTHING. NEVER during our conversation did she say that what she was doing was putting me into a new 2 year contract!!! Now here I am I had to cancel my son's phone service to SPRINT because I could never hear him when he called from college. I knew that terminating his service was shy of the two (2) year period, however because the quality of service was so bad I chose to go forward and pay the penalty of $200.

When I received my final bill for two (2) early termination fees I could not believe it! I called Sprint and told them that they were wrong that I should only have to pay for one early termination fee of these last two lines. Sprint informed me that when I called in to cancel the one line (that I had had for over two years), that when their employee talked me out of canceling that phone number she started me on a new contract! I told them that she never told me that that was what she was doing. They said it did not matter, that they sent me something in the mail telling me that this is what she did. I told them I never received anything telling me that they had put me into a new contract. I asked them if they sent it via certified mail showing that I received this information. They stated that it came regular mail. I said well then how can you be sure that I received said notification. "Jasmine", (Sprint representative) said it did not matter whether I received it or not because they sent it!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, I am one of the most responsible people you would ever meet. I am also someone who dislikes very much when a company corporate thief like Sprint so deliberately trys to twist the truth to rip people like me off!

I obviously started looking on line for any possible class action lawsuits that might be taking place by people who perhaps are in the same situation.
If I am crazy for thinking this is wrong what they are doing then please tell me. I am so mentally drained after speaking with several people from Sprint, I am not sure were to go with this.
