Robert, your first question . . Then how come attorney with 20 years experience who apparently knows how things "work" took your case in the beginning instead of being honest with you that you had no chance. I did consider submitting your question to our attorney for her comment but without her direct response, I will do my best to answer your question.

After hearing the facts of this case, I believe that this attorney realized that this agency and its governing court system have been permitted to act with power and authority with little to no accountability. I believe that in the face of the gross injustice being thrust upon my daughter, she felt that no ordinary counsel would do and that to refuse to work this case would be to abandon the belief that this system has any remaining virtue.  Perhaps in part it was because she too is a grandmother and felt the need to defend the conviction that just maybe there is still some justice left in this world. Gerry Spence, renowned attorney from Wyoming puts it like this, The New King has become so powerful it can murder its own citizens with impunity.

As for contacting the media . . if you recall in my complaint I mentioned that the two older children were placed for adoption while the youngest was placed back with my daughter. The baby was born while the case with the two older girls was still open. The dirty, underhanded way CPS ultimately placed the baby in the foster home with her two older sisters is a whole other issue, but having no legal reason to deny reunification, the court was compelled to return her to my daughter. FYI - -
that was a year ago and she is happy and healthy and the prize of our very large family. However, she was part of the case as a sibling set and as such was still subject to CPS control and to the court. In light of the false reports to the court, the underhanded tactics we had already experienced from the department and evidence that there was collusion between CPS, the foster care/adoption agency and county counsel, we feared retaliation and retribution from CPS and the Court if we got too noisy with the media. Factually, these people have the power and the authority to take any child into CPS custody and
just see what a nightmare it is to get them back, If you get them back. You just dont know.

Now that I have (hopefully)answered your questions, I would like to know why you have been so sarcastic to me? I did not ask you or anyone else to blindly believe what I have put forth as my personal experience and beliefs in regards to CPS. In fact, I asked that you educate yourselves and gave you a couple places to start your search. I dont believe you did that. So far as you being personally offended by my comments, (not accusations) the only reasonable explanation for your intense reaction was that perhaps I had hit a nerve. I am sorry that you view that as an accusation.

CPS was NOT contacted because my daughter and granddaughters were in imminent danger. They were in an unhealthy
environment and the family was looking for options on how to essentially rescue her from herself and thus provide a better environment for her children. In other words, our purpose was to intervene. I will not go into personal details
in this forum which would serve only to lay bare all private matters of my daughters life, but had everything to do with the level of service that should have been provided to her by her caseworker.

There IS more to the story, but itis not I that is harmed by the facts. You are correct in stating that I wanted to be selective in my response. You were very accusatory in your statement that I was trying to be very selective in what you post to make you appear as good as you can and the other sides as bad as they can and I did not wish to give in to my first inclination. I want to attack the injustice, not others who might disagree with me. You do not have the slightest clue what I have invested
in trying to get my granddaughters back in my contacts from this caseworkers supervisor all the way up the chain of command, county supervisors, a senator, a representative and the emotional pain and endless number of sleepless nights
struggling with my internal rage. Please read the following Final Remarks by former Georgia Senator Nancy Schaefer 50thDistrict of Georgia . . . It would serve you well to read her entire report entitled The Corrupt Business of Child Protective Services."

On my desk are scores of cases of exhausted families and troubled children. It has been beyond me to turn my back on these suffering, crying, and sometimes beaten down individuals. We are mistreating the most innocent. Child Protective Services have become adult centered to the detriment of children. No longer is judgment based on what the child needs or who the child wants to be with or what is really best for the whole family; it is some adult or bureaucrat who makes the decisions, based often on just hearsay, without ever consulting a family member, or just what is convenient, profitable, or less troublesome for a director of DFCS.

I have witnessed such injustice and harm brought to these families that I am not sure if I even believe reform
of the system is possible! The system cannot be trusted. It does not serve the people.
It obliterates families and children simply because it has the power to do so.

Children deserve better. Families deserve better. Its time to pull back the curtain and set our children and families free.

Your excuse of having "other issues" to deal with would have worked if it weren't for one little thing.  Within hours of me posting on this report, you had the time even with your "other issues" to seek out and respond not once..but twice to a totally different report.  You even admitted in that post you had the time to read my response by calling me out by name.  Yet you now claim you want to re-read my questions so you can post the truth?

Just how long does it take to post the truth?  There is nothing to think about or working on formulating a response.  In the time it took you to write your response as to why you are not responding you could have re-read and answered the questions.  The only reason you would need time to do this is to try and be very selective in what you post to make you appear as good as you can and the other sides as bad as they can.    Either that or you realize that you may not be getting the full story from all parties, which if that is the case hopefully you come back and state that you were incorrect in posting the report.

I do not need to convince you that there is corruption in power. One believes what one CHOOSES to believe; others just bury their heads in the sand.

- No I am not burying my head. In fact when you re-read my post you will realize how I actually am telling you to take your proof as public as you can, I would love to actually see something.  When I mean public I don't mean on some anonymous web site, I mean with as much of an independent 3rd party as you can.  In this case one of the many local news stations in LA.

Really this isn't Rocket Science...if you have an official document that says one thing, and court records that state another..that is all you need to go public. 

But this ain't my first rodeo.  For what ever reason, not one person has ever taken the opportunity to truly go public.  Instead they come back with comments such as "Well I'll have to get back to you", or "You will see one day(at some unspecified point in the future) I will post ALL of the proof and you will see".

If you truly care about your Grand Daughters shouldn't they be your primary focus?  Shouldn't you be doing everything you can to get them out of this situation they are in?  Isn't the best way to accomplish that by going as public as you can? 

So of course if you don't go public then that has to lead anyone with even average reading comprehension that when you talk about other family members causing these problems..one has to think that there is a lot more that you are not saying, and what is not said wouldn't have you coming out smelling like a rose.

Robert, I have not responded to you directly as I have had other issues of everyday living to attend to, and the fact that I want to re-read your response and to be able to answer your questions factually. One thing that is clear to me is that you have had little or no dealings with our judicial system, whether it be in family court, criminal or probate. I used to believe that if a person followed all the rules and treated others as they wished to be treated that they would be afforded a peaceful existence. I have learned that our judicial system should be more aptly called our "legal system" because regardless of which arm you are dealing with, it has little to do with justice and what is right. Unless you have been on the receiving end of legal injustice it is easy to live under the delusion that being an honest, law-abiding citizen will net you a fair outcome in the courtroom. It more often comes down to who can tell their lie first and best and how much power is invested in the opposition, and I am not just speaking in terms of family court. It saddens me that we have been conditioned to this belief because when it comes to YOUR door, it is like getting sucker punched and you are down before you know what hit you.

When I have the time and opportunity I will answer your questions for which you have drawn your own conclusions based on speculation. Though I can only state facts to you, sometimes the truth is more outrageously unbelievable than anything one could fabricate. I do not need to convince you that there is corruption in power. Interesting how you called me out by name..yet you didn't come to this post..Ummm.  It is also very interesting in the other post how you didn't state how you got CPS involved?  Anyways even though you didn't answer my question, I will answer your comment.  No I am not personally offended by your accusations.  In fact it is just a question because there are 3 sides to every story..we have one and of course you are going to be very biased.

Is it perhaps that you couldn't answer the question?

Is it perpahs that contrary to what you wrote in that post that "it could happen to anyone" doesn't really fit the facts that YOU called them because your grand kids were in danger?

One more comment/question I didn't mention before but it seems relevant now.
resulted in CPS taking custody of the children and placing them in foster care by way of an underhanded tactic perpetrated on another family member and her family by DPSS.
- Perhaps this other "family member" could shed more light on why you don't have custody.  After all there are 3 sides(or perhaps 4 in this case) to every story.

First of all this isn't some random case of CPS knocking down a door and just taking the kids.  In this case YOU contacted CPS because YOU felt that YOUR Grand kids were in danger.  The problem is that instead of you being able to handle it yourself and talk to your daughter to leave or at least have you take care of the kids, you needed to contact them.   But they all of the sudden become "evil" because they didn't just automatically give the kids to you.  As a result you came up with this grand conspiracy that they seem to have targeted your grand kids to get them adopted off.

Now this question has been asked before and I have yet to see anyone ever answer it, so perhaps you would be the first.

If what you are saying about how the report the case worker submitted contradicts the facts and everything you have written is 100% true and nothing is being left out.  Then how come attorney with 20 years experience who apparently knows how things "work"  took your case in the beginning instead of being honest with you that you had no chance.

Then when he wasn't able to get you the kids, how come you didn't take what you have to the local news media.  You are in the LA area and there are several TV and radio stations and at least one Newspaper that would be beating down your door to be able to break the story of government corruption..especially when it involves kids.
