I attended Lawton Business Schools from OCT 1898 to FEB 1990, taking a Word Processing Class.  Originally, the class was to last 6 Month from OCT 1980 to March 1990.  The school closed it's doors in FEB 1990, and at that time I was informed that arrangements were being made with Western Career College {WCC} so that students could complete their Training.  At that Time, getting employment as a Word Processor REQUIRED that you type 50 wpm, and as of FEB 1990, I could only type 42 wpm.  I contacted WCC repeatedly, and they always informed me that NO ONE from Lawton Business Schools had contacted them. Irregardless of PUBLIC RECORDS, which stated that the school closed in NOV 1990, the Doors were closed in FEB 1 Month shy of my Graduating.  ECMC has been taking My Income Tax Checks, and constantly calling me accusing me of NOT COOPERATING with them, and this is False.  If Necessary, I can provide numerous letters where I tried to stated my case, and my pleas fell on deaf ears.  I ended up attending the Richmond Regional Occupational Program {ROP}, and eventually got Re-Employed in my Original Profession, Computers, IT and NetWorking.  Lawton Business Schools had NOTHING to do with My employment, and totally let me down with their promise of Lifetime Job Placement Services, and a Facility to complete my Word Processor Training.  I enrolled in that school with EVERY Intention of completing My Training, AND Paying back that Loan, which started out at $2500.00 each for Books and supplies, and by 2000, ECMC was asking for more than $12,000.00.  I just discovered Your WEB Site, and I will submit all that I can as I KNOW I have all the correspondence, as well as some of the Original Documentation, which will be forthcoming.  In retrospect, it was strange that the recruiters for that school were placing student in class right up to the announcement that the school was closing, and I found it strange that there was one guy admitted to the school that could not even read, yet he was sitting in from of a computer  I have tried my best to work with ECMC, but as I have learned REPEATEDLY in Life, take NOTHING at Face Value.  I am getting weary of the CONSTANT Phone Calls, and letter threatening to take Future Income Tax Checks.  In the past, I have tried various avenues to get this OFF MY PLATE; Bankruptcy, contacting a CongressMan/Woman, trying to get ECMC to drop actions against me based on my experience with Lawton Business Schools to NO AVAIL !  Hopefully from this WEB Site, I can get some sort of action going.
